3 THINGS TO THINK ABOUT TO GET YOUR GARDEN SUMMER READY

I’m going to be honest, during the winter one of my favourite things is the fact I don’t have to do any gardening!

Many of you that follow me on Instagram mainly, will know of my relationship with gardening. I hate it. However, what I do like is watching the kids having a bounce on the trampoline, the dog loving a run about and Donetta and I sitting out staring at Instagram for a few hours at everyone else doing the same thing!

I know as I write this it’s freezing and the grass in your garden has probably seen better days, but now is the time to start planning to have your garden summer ready.

Here’s 3 Things To Think About To Get Your Garden Summer Ready!

Garden Clear Out

Basic really. I’d recommend hiring someone who’s specialises in garden clearance. You could do it yourself if you have a big enough car, but as I’ve found before the mess it leaves your car in isn’t fun and becomes another job to clean that out too. Also, depending on what you’re clearing out from your garden, it’s always a pain figuring out exactly how and where you’re supposed to get rid of all of the crap!

Garden Designs

Gardening to me is basically cutting the grass and that’s it. However, I’ve recently discovered it’s worth thinking about how you want your garden to look overall, not just ‘have shorter grass’. You could look into garden designs for inspiration on how to do more with your garden than simply cut the green stuff.

Garden Maintenance

I’m not sure I mentioned it, but I don’t like gardening…

Keeping on top of your gardening in the summer months can be massively time consuming and if you’re not a keen gardener to begin with it can feel such a huge task. The best thing to do is to have a look around for local gardeners, these people are legends. People that actually like gardening AND will do yours! You’ll tick off a major task and keeping it local is always a nice thing to do.

Clearly I struggle when it comes to gardening, but luckily there’s so many good local and nationwide businesses full of people that can help with it. I’ll cut the grass and I put up a trampoline, they can do the rest!
