Where are all the Disney fans at? EVERYWHERE!
And they were out in force at the FlyDSA Arena Sheffield last Saturday, a sea of both children and adults dressed as their favourite Disney characters. It was brilliant!
We’d had this arranged for quite some time so the excitement had been building for not only the kids but us parents too, for a while. When you’ve known about an event for a couple of months, the closer it gets the more excited you become and you build up a huge expectation of the event. This can result in an anti-climax, but not when the event is Disney On Ice.
I mean, there’s Disney characters, loads of em… And they’re on ICE!
So Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy take us on a trip through the different magical worlds of our favourite Disney films. There’s Lion King, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid and Frozen. Scenes from the films played out LIVE on ICE!
With narration, acting, dancing and the most popular Disney soundtracks, the entire show is magical from start to finish.
What I really loved about our trip to the show was that although Corben hasn’t really seen many Disney films, he was transfixed on certain performances, especially Captain Hook! He’s always siding with the bad guys. He also loved the Frozen section with special effects lighting and snow, he’s now a Frozen fan!
Then there were the girls, not just our 12 and 13 year olds, Donetta too! They’re huge Disney fans and loved every performance. Donetta’s favourite is The Little Mermaid, a timeless film with great songs. I could see it took her back in time as she sang along to ‘Under The Sea’!
This is the thing you see, 5, 12 or 36 Disney has you covered. Sat in front of us were 3 shall I say ‘older’ ladies that had attended the show together… Literally timeless classics in every performance.
I’ll have to admit, I think Frozen stole the show. It’s that song! I can’t help but put my vocal cords into action when the main line drops… LET IT GO, LET IT GOOOO!
You’ll be able to see from the photo’s in this post that we had a good time and there will be further evidence of this in an upcoming video over on our YouTube Channel.
The Disney show A Passport To Adventure is only on in London at the O2 now in 2017, having already traveled up and down the UK. I’d 100% recommend you get the whole family down to the O2 to give the show a watch between 20th December and 30th December 2017.
A family outing, a Christmas gift, a Christmas treat for the whole family, whatever… Just grab yourselves some tickets.
