They’ve only gone and pulled it out of the bag again haven’t they. Remember last time Disney On Ice – A Passport To Adventure 2017 it was EPIC, well its happened again!
I wasn’t long ago we were telling you how awesome Disney On Ice was in 2017, then we told you we were going back again More Disney On Ice For Us this March. Would this second show at The First Direct Arena, Leeds live up to the first one?
YES! YES IT DID!
We were absolutely thrilled to be invited back to see the next Disney On Ice show, this time including Toy Story and Cars. As a little added extra we also got to meet Mickey Mouse to grab a photo and goody bag before the show. It’s tough to call who loved that bit more, Corben or Abi!
That’s one thing I do love about Disney. Kids in their teenage years can start becoming a little too cool for many of the things they loved about 5 minutes ago! Disney though seems to be the anomaly with this, it’s like even all the teenagers have agreed, ‘We’re all cool now, but Disney stays cool with us OK? OK agreed’. HA! Our girls are 12 and 14 and enjoyed the show more than Corben, 5. He’s yet to know every word to every song, but the girls are Disney veterans now so sang along throughout.
The last show was something I could easily sit through again and this one was no different. Does Disney ever get old? It doesn’t does it.
The featured story this time around was Toy Story. It took the largest proportion of the show and was incredible. All the main characters skating around taking you through the scenes of the film and the props were great. A giant desk to give the illusion that you were being taken into the world of being toy sized, it was great.
Lightening McQueen, Cars came out and real little cars were driving and spinning across the ice accompanied by flashing lights and sparks. A welcome addition from the last show, the only small gripe of the entire evening was that Cars didn’t last quite as long as I’d hoped. I guess when the only moan is that it wasn’t long enough, you’re not doing bad are you!
We dived into the world of Ariel before the grand finale of Frozen, my favourite bit 🙂
There’s something magical about that Frozen film isn’t there. I think it’s the songs. To close out an unbelievable show it seemed perfect too. Let it go, LET IT GOOOO!
In between performances our hosts, Mickey, Minnie and crew broke up the gaps brilliantly interacting with the kids in the crowd. Disney On Ice is a genuine FAMILY evening out. From Corben, 5 to the teenage girls, to us adults, we all thoroughly enjoyed the whole nights entertainment.
If you want to get a glimpse into our night at Disney On Ice you’re in luck, we made a video too!
Tag us in your Disney photos across social media, we’d love to see them 🙂
