I’ve Started Looking At Holidays | #ad

If your stalking me over on Instagram you’ll know over the last week or so I’ve been looking around for a family holiday. We’ve not been on a proper family holiday for a couple of years now and I want one!

I asked my mates across Instagram to get involved, sending me links, advice and details for holidays to Centre Parcs and Disneyland Paris. They did, I looked at them and I quickly decided they would be some years away £££.

I clicked around online some more and then Clickstay were brought to my attention. Now Clickstay advertise luxury private pool villas, ski chalets, chic city apartments, countryside chateaus and everything in-between. They have over 48,000 properties in 80 countries!

I remember going to a villa in Alicante, Spain a few times when I was a kid. I loved it. I always thought it was cool having a villa, I’d pretend it was my actual house and we had a pool right outside too which made it even cooler. Bare in mind I was between 8-12, I’d pretend I was an English footballer that had signed for Real Madrid and moved over to Spain to live a life of luxury. I was pretty much living David Beckham’s life before he was!

My preference for a family holiday would be a villa, somewhere to call your own for the week or two. The hustle and bustle of a hotel would add to the family holiday drama I reckon, a nice villa to unload your things, a home from home would be my choice for sure.

I got thinking, how cool would it be to re-live my childhood holiday, a villa in Alicante but 20 years on with me as the Dad and my own little family. Corben wouldn’t be pretending to be a footballer I know that, he’d be looking for Batman films in Spanish instead!

I had a little click and a type on the Clickstay website and came across this beauty, 3 Bed Villa A/C with Private Pool & Garden, Marina Oasis, Alicante. This wasn’t the only one either, loads to choose from!

I’ll be honest, after looking at some holidays over the last week, I was beginning to wonder if we’d ever get away for a family holiday abroad, it can be so expensive especially when there’s 5 of us! Now I’m more than optimistic and love the idea of a villa abroad somewhere for us as a family to chill… and vlog! HA!

I’m predominantly a Dad Blogger, I’ve managed to carve out a few Fashion Blogger type posts but really I’m screaming inside to become a Travel Blogger! So many wonderful places to see, visit and experience.

I would LOVE to be a travel blogger! But I highly doubt that anyone would pay for me to become one! We have a week in Tenerife booked in July (paid for by MIL!) and a couple of weekends away planned – Silverstone (July), Leeds (September) and hopefully will be hitting the Lake District soon.

So Disney and Centre Parcs out of the picture now? It might be worth having a look at Centre Parcs in Europe. The prices there are cheap! But a villa in Spain sounds niiiiiice!

You’re not doing bad then are you this year! You’ll never be at home 🙂 I’m definitely looking into this Villa abroad, I can’t believe how cheap they can be! After our visit in April we might end up booking a joint family villa away for next April?! HA!

Not complaining! Parents in law have a lodge in the Lake District and we haven’t been for almost 4 years. So hoping to hit that a few times.

Hey we’re up for a family villa in Spain with you guys! 😀
