New House Revamp | Kitchen Part One
OK, on the blog it probably looks like the house improvements have slowed a little. You’d be wrong! Things are happening, albeit slower than we’d like, but then money appears slower than we’d like so…
The Kitchen has been having a little move around and a few touches added here and there. We’ve had some paint supplied by Johnstone’s – New Duck Egg Washable which will be slapped on the walls VERY soon! We’ve done some swapping around with Donetta’s Mum and ended up with a Tassimo, Slow Cooker and another thing that does proper homemade chips. I’d give you the official name but all I heard was homemade chips 🙂
The new items are all Red and Black which has changed our plans slightly. Donetta assures me that the Duck Egg paint will still go well with the new plan so we’ll see.
There’s this little beauty from Brabantia too that is proving a great help.
A touch bin, does what you’d expect… You touch it. It opens. Simplistically genius if you ask me. It’s amazing how much less mess there is around the bin when you have a 4 year old that empties his leftovers into this rather than the old flappy type bin. I don’t know the official terminology for these things!
I think the best part is the inner plastic part that has a handle, so when it’s that great time of the week that we all love, bin cleaning, you just lift it out wipe it all down and slot it back in. We all hate these jobs so anything that makes them a little less painful is a massive win!
OK enough ‘rubbish’ talk, see what I did there? I really do need to get on with the painting. Slap some paint about, replace the microwave, kettle and toaster and we’ll be about there.
Keep your eyes peeled for the next part when I’ll hopefully have some full kitchen images for you, I know you all love a good kitchen makeover 🙂
