Toys Are Taking Over My House!

The never-ending battle between having a tidy home and having children…

Toys, they’re EVERYWHERE!

I’m not sure how long it takes on average, but at some stage in your parenting career you will reach a stage where you just give in. You give in and accept that toys over-running your lovely living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and every other room in the house is now just a way of life.

There are some proper savvy parents out there that manage to find these little storage havens that perfectly suit their living room feng shui, however most of us have to live with the Bat Cave replacing your nicely themed lamp in the corner.

We have two rooms in our house, one living room that we try to keep at an OK level, just in case we get visitors and the other is our office/learning/playroom. Basically it’s where I work and all of Corben’s learning and toy boxes are. Does he play in this room though? Does he chuff! Everything gets taken through to the living room and thrown around, I mean played with.

It’s just inevitable that when you become a parent, your house becomes a bomb site. Once you’ve reached that point discussed earlier and you realise toy boxes are now part of your homely theme, then you may as well get creative with them.

That’s where Kiddies Kingdom comes in with their Kidsaw JCB Skip Toybox!

How cool does that look!

For me, the looking cool part is a priority. It just so happens this is the easiest wooden toy box I’ve ever put together. It literally just slots together, four pieces then you drop in the bottom. Once slotted together it’s then strong enough to fill with toys. Oh and there’s slots on either side to make it easy to transport into the living room and emptied all over the floor…

From opening the box to having it filled with toys took less than a minute! It’s that simple.

I do prefer this type of storage option rather than boring plain boxes, it fits in with the toys so much better.

So there you are, that’s how we’re coping with the toy apocalypse in our gaff, show us your storage ideas online @dadvworld

Oh and there’s something telling me that in only 7 weeks-ish time, there will be another influx of toys entering your homes. Be ready for it!
