It started as a long horrid slug, with sick and sleep and more sick and then turned into everything I’d hoped.
OK so recently I’ve not quite kept up with my Pregnancy Live Reactions, however there’s plenty of videos over on YouTube to get you caught up. It started off with me talking about Donetta being horribly ill, I mean seriously it was absolutely shite! Then, there were scans, lots of thinking, trouble with names (This is still a problem) and finding out we’re having a girl!
Since Donetta regained her human-ness it’s actually been a very enjoyable experience as I’d hoped. We’ve been able to talk about things and make certain decisions ready for our new family member. All of the scans have gone really well and we found out we are having a girl!
Just as I wrote before we were even pregnant, I wanted a girl and like a spoilt child, the universe has given me what I wanted.
So here we are, 19 weeks 4 days pregnant. I realise we’re a few days off half way but I might forget to write this post if I don’t do it now. Everything so far has gone to plan and the excitement is building.
We’ve got a pram, which is a huge deal when having a baby, we’ve got a front-runner name that becomes more and more likely every day, AND we’ve started nesting. If nesting means decluttering and decluttering means moving stuff around until it feels like it might possibly maybe look a little better probably?
We’re well on our way in this pregnancy journey and it’s been great to document it as already those early stages feel years ago. Donetta is really starting to look pregnant now, her bump is coming along nicely. I absolutely love pregnant bellies, not in a weird way, I just love it when women have a bump and memories come flooding back of Corben’s birth and the whole magic around pregnancy. There’s nothing more magical than pregnancy and when it’s my own wife with my own little baby growing inside that bump it’s just amazing.
We went for a private gender scan not long ago and it was amazing to not only find out she’s a girl, but they did a full health check too and everything was as it should be. It’s now only 6 days away from our 20 weeks scan that’s standard through pregnancy, and we’ll get to check her out all over again!
This is basically a little catch-up post to continue the Pregnancy Live Reaction Blog Series that has been all over the place recently.
